The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Self-Perform General Foreman to lead and oversee our self-perform construction teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Must have established strong track record in the All Access / Scaffolding of large Commercial Construction Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Coordination: Oversee scaffolding teams, ensuring efficient scheduling and coordination of work.

  • Erection & Dismantling: Supervise the installation, modification, and removal of scaffolding structures.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and regulations, identifying potential hazards and implementing preventive measures.

  • Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect scaffolding materials and equipment for defects or damage.

  • Training & Guidance: Provide instruction and mentorship to scaffolding personnel.

  • Project Reporting: Prepare progress reports for project managers and clients.

  • Communication: Liaise with other trades and contractors on-site to ensure smooth operations.

  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain scaffolding materials and equipment.

  • Supervise and coordinate self-perform construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. 
  • Interpret and implement project plans, blueprints, and specifications. 

  • Manage and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment. 

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. 

  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and optimize workflows. 

  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and team performance. 

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. 

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in scaffolding, with leadership experience preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Leadership Abilities: Strong management skills to oversee a team of scaffolders.

  • Communication Skills: Effective interaction with clients, contractors, and team members.

  • Safety Knowledge: Expertise in health and safety regulations and procedures.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to work on different sites and in various weather conditions.

  • Technology Proficiency: Experience with scaffolding software and technology is a plus.

  • Proven experience as a General Foreman or similar role in the construction industry. 
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. 

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards. 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA Safety Certification) are a plus. 

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.
